A night in Rome

For many of us, life and the purpose of it serves us an interesting dilemma. Its trying to collate thoughts and bring it up to a definite conclusion. Some prefer to make no sense of it and have simple goals, pursuing it to the end without looking at the consequences. Others, like me, evaluate every opportunity to evaluate every decision they make and thus end up making a life which has no definite direction. Even if it does, it rarely does come to light to the person living it.

My life in many ways has been successful. But i have failed to recognise it. The problem lies in the fact that despite the many achievements made, we mostly end up looking at the failures. That should not be the case, but sadly thats what holds us back. Sometimes it may be for the good, and infact looking at the times that we have held back, we probably think thats the best policy. But hey, being on the other side of the fence doesn't hurt much either. You just have to grin it and bear it. Like a really sweet cough syrup.

Rome has brought to the fore some of these incapabiities of mine. The ability to interact freely with people. The inability of being who you are. Infact, most of the time , we are never ourselves. Are we, being who we are, damaging for our own good?

I miss everyone important in my life now. Perhaps its just something i have to grin and bear, till i get back to them.
